Terms of service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User”, “Administrator”, or “You”) and Charged (“Charged”, “we”, “our”, or “the Platform”), governing your access to and use of the Charged website (chargedlnch.com), the Charged Discord Bot application, our AI Assistant (“One”), and associated management services.

By connecting your Discord account via OAuth2, adding the Charged Bot to a Discord guild, or accessing the dashboard, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and the Discord Developer Terms of Service.

1 – Account authentication & security

Charged uses Discord OAuth2 for authentication. We never request, store, or have access to your Discord account password. When authorizing Charged:

1. Your Discord user identity (ID, username, avatar) is linked to an encrypted session hash stored in our secure database.
2. OAuth access and refresh tokens are encrypted at rest using industry-standard AES-256-GCM encryption.
3. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Discord account. Any action initiated from an authenticated session is attributed to your account.

2 – Bot deployment & guild administration

To manage server settings, auto-responders, or custom constants, you must possess the Administrator or Manage Server permission in the respective Discord guild:

1. You grant Charged the authorization to read message triggers and execute configured actions within the specific channels authorized by your server configuration.
2. Server administrators are solely responsible for all content, auto-responder replies, and custom constants configured on their servers.
3. Charged reserves the right to automatically disable any auto-responder or server integration that causes automated spam or violates Discord platform rules.

3 – AI Assistant (“One”) & automated tools

Charged features an integrated AI assistant (“One”). The assistant is scoped exclusively to Discord server configuration, moderation management, and documentation:

1. Tool executions initiated by the AI assistant (e.g. creating auto-responders, modifying command prefixes, setting custom constants) execute directly against your server's database configuration.
2. User interactions with the assistant are processed strictly in real-time to complete server requests and are never used to train generalized third-party public foundation models.

4 – Service availability & rate limits

While we strive for 99.9% uptime across all shards and gateways, Charged is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Discord API rate limits, Discord gateway outages, or network disruptions outside our direct control may temporarily affect message dispatch latency. Real-time telemetry is publicly monitored at status.chargedlnch.com.

5 – Termination & revocation

You may terminate this agreement at any time by removing the Charged Bot from your Discord server and logging out of the dashboard. Upon request or account disconnection, your stored OAuth tokens and session data are permanently purged in accordance with our Privacy Statement.
